Compare Versions - Any version can be compared to the active document using the version toolbar in the Version Viewer. This utility uses Word 2007's Compare feature to show you a side-by-side comparison of the active document and any particular version. To launch the compare utility, click on the "compare" button in the toolbar for any version instance. This will launch Word's Compare feature using the active document as one document and the version as the other.

Expando - By clicking and holding on any thumbnail in the Version Viewer, you can expand the thumbnail to see a larger image of the version. The Expando shows the page that was captured during the version creation.

To import a document or documents, press the import button on the main toolbar  or the import button  on the version instance toolbar. To import a single document, find the document you want to import, select it by clicking on it in the Import Documents window and click "Open." To import more than one document, multiple select documents by holding down the Ctrl or Shift key when clicking on documents in the Import Documents window. Each version has it's own toolbar, an information section which includes title (or name), description, and time/date stamp which is the time and date when the version was created. Each version also includes a thumbnail which can be expanded by clicking and holding over the thumbnail.

Create a Version - When creating a version, Document.Versions will load any existing version data then prompt you for a name and description. You can leave these fields blank but they can be used to provide meaningful information so you can later remember what the version contains.

The Toolbar - The toolbar exposes some of the essential features of Document.Versions allow you to create or import a version, manage version information or delete all versions in a document.
